UTV Drive Circuit of Ireland 2010
Glengormley`s Derek McGarrity and his co-driver James McKee in their Subaru Impreza S12B win UTV Drive Circuit of Ireland 2010, this years event took place on Easter Saturday and Sunday with 15 special stages covering counties Down and Monaghan.
McGrady Insurance Rally Stages 2010
Ballynahinch and District Motor Club held its annual McGrady Insurance sponsored Bishopcourt stages, the second round of the Hankook MSA N.I stage rally championship on Saturday 13 March. Conditions for this all tarmac event were very good with dry roads and some sunshine thought-out the day. The format for this event was similar to previous years with 6 special stages run throughout the confines of Bishopscourt raceway.
Pedro Pet Foods Kirkistown Stages 2010
The Annual North Armagh Motor Club kirkistown stages, the first round of the Hankook MSA N.I Rally Championship and sponsored by Petro Pet Foods took place on Saturday 27th February. The format consisted of six stages throughout the kirkistown race track, with total of approx 30 stage miles. Conditions for this year’s event where very good, despite heavy over night rain which lead to standing water on many corners.
O.M.C Fivemiletown Spring Rally 2010
Omagh Motor Club’s opening event for this year was the Spring Rally held on Saturday 20th February. This clubman event is a very popular rally based in Fivemiletown Co. Fermanagh, the event format consistent of 8 special stages held in nearby Mullaghfad, Crocknagrally, Jenkin Hill and Doon forests. Conditions for this year’s event proved very challenging due to freezing fog, snow and ice on many of the stages.
